e weigh the impact of each decision we make when producing our collections. While a button might seem small, the impact of choosing a sustainable button producer has major benefits.

Did you know that a small button making machine can produce 1200 plastic buttons an hour, which completely eliminates the need for humans. Our artisans take the time to carve each button individually by hand. It takes several skilled artisans over a week to produce our buttons for one season.

The small power tools used by our artisans save tons of energy compared to the massive machines found in factories. Our buttons are made locally which prevents us from having to ship items in for production, further reducing our carbon footprint.

Each button is made from discarded buffalo bone. The bones used to be thrown into the river which polluted the area. Now they are repurposed into something beautiful. The use of up-cycled buffalo bone keeps waste out of landfills and reduces the amount of pollution spilled into the air during plastic button manufacturing.
