Woven by Nature.
Shaped by Tradition.
We are passionate about fashion. And so when Jijivisha came to be, we began with a simple belief: that fashion can do more. It can honor tradition, uplift communities, and tread gently on the earth.
A product of Nepal; home to some of the world’s most intricate artistry, Jijivisha brings that same hand-to-craft detail into fashion. Every Jijivisha garment is handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans using time-honored techniques like natural dyeing, handloom weaving, and couture-inspired detailing. In a world driven by fast fashion, we choose a slower, more soulful path.
We work closely with small, family-run workshops — not only to preserve endangered traditions but to help them thrive.
Our commitment is rooted in dignity: fair wages, respectful collaborations, and real opportunities for creative and economic growth.
At the end of the day, we don’t just create clothing — we create connections. To place. To a purpose. To a way of living that’s intentional, artistic, human and benevolent. Jijivisha is a reminder that beauty can be meaningful — and sustainability can be elegant. When you wear Jijivisha, you can feel the difference of material that breathes easy, and is good for your skin and the environment.

Our clothes don’t just look good, they do good.

Meet the Maker

For Shavona, creativity has always been an act of reimagination. Where others see scraps, she finds a way to upcycle them into decor for her children’s birthday parties. While people don’t want to be seen in the same outfit twice, she rejoices in investing in timeless, statement pieces. In fact, she can also envision centuries-old Himalayan weaving techniques reborn as contemporary fashion. She sees possibilities where others see limits; her choices led by care, intention, and meaning.
That same spirit shapes Jijivisha, beautifully blending Shavona’s personal intentions and values with the brand’s vision. Every piece undergoes an intimate process, carrying a unique, human imprint. The garments are earth-kind and mindful of waste, with every scrap thoughtfully repurposed into something new; just as Shavona would have done herself. Behind the scenes, artisans and partners are treated with dignity and fairness—motivated in Shavona’s attempt to help Nepalese thrive in their homeland. With Jijivisha, she hopes to create meaningful opportunities at home, where heritage becomes livelihood, and talent thrives locally.
Another passion that deeply binds the brand to its creator is the preservation of Nepal’s endangered textile traditions. For Shavona, this isn’t a choice; it’s a responsibility. She has witnessed weavers in Mustang create handwoven, traditional textiles. The realization that, without intervention, these skills could disappear forever motivates her to ensure through Jijivisha that the craft lives on. She has thus made a conscious effort to involve these master weavers in creating Jijivisha’s masterpieces.
Through Jijivisha, Shavona weaves together everything she believes in: thoughtful living, cultural preservation, beautiful design, and a commitment to doing right by people and the planet. It is also her way of placing Nepal’s fabric and design on the global stage, staying rooted while looking outward, and building a future where craft and consciousness go hand in hand. In many ways, a lot of Shavona is in Jijivisha, and a lot of Jijivisha is in her, both striving for lives lived to the fullest.
